Dons take Miller from Dundee UtdLee Miller joined Dundee United last summer Aberdeen have signed striker Lee Miller from Dundee United on a two-year deal. United paid Bristol City £225,000 for Miller last summer, but he has been in and out of the starting line-up. No fee was involved for the 23-year-old, who started his career with Falkirk and won a £300,000 move to City in England's League One. Miller fell out of favour with Bristol but impressed when loaned to Hearts in January 2005, scoring 11 goals in 23 games before moving to Tannadice. He has failed to score in four games this season and was suspended for Saturday's 3-1 defeat of St Mirren after being sent off against Kilmarnock. Dons boss Jimmy Calderwood has long been an admirer of the player and had attempted to sign him previously. BBC Sport understands that United had originally hoped to take striker Steve Lovell from the Dons in a swap deal. United then turned their attention to Darren Mackie, but the striker did not wish to move clubs. Taken from the BBC |
