GENK ASK HEARTS TO PLAY IT FAIR

RACING Genk have pleaded with Hearts to show a Scottish sense of fair play and pay up for Mirsad Beslija.

The Belgian side's finance director Filip Aerden confirmed the have until tomorrow to pay up for the Bosnian winger before they take their case to FIFA.

Genk claim a sum of around £600,000, 80 per cent of the total transfer fee agreed in January, is still outstanding and should have been paid by May 31.

Aerden said: "There is confidence and trust in dealing with British clubs, so I calculate there will be a solution soon. "But we have still not had any contact with Hearts. Our lawyers have tried to get them on the phone but there is still no solution.

"We will continue to discuss the issue internally and if there is no resolution we will decide our next step to take by Friday."

UEFA have confirmed Hearts will be among the 14 seeds in next week's Champions League second qualifying round draw.
