HEARTS TO GET EURO SEED SLOTHEARTS have been boosted by news from UEFA that they will be seeded in next week's Champions League second qualifying round draw. UEFA have released the confirmed line-up of the 73 entrants and Hearts' official coefficient rating of 20.023 means only Steaua Bucharest, Fenerbahce, Spartak Moscow, Dinamo Kiev, Levski Sofia, Crvena Zvezda and Dinamo Zagreb are ranked higher than the Scots, meaning last season's SPL runners-up have cruised into the list of 14 seeds. A UEFA spokesman said: "Seeding will be in place and Hearts will be one of those teams seeded in the second qualifying round." But if they qualify, Hearts will face a huge test in the third qualifying round. Of the 18 sides who enter the competition at that stage, only Standard Liege and Maccabi Haifa are rated lower than the Tynecastle club, so they will definitely be unseeded and face a European big gun.
