Big Interest In Webster

Webster handed in his notice at Tynecastle after exercising a FIFA regulation that allows players under 28 who have served three years of a four-year deal to do so. He could leave for as little as £200,000 as of July 1.

According to the BBC, former Scotland manager Berti Vogts has alerted clubs in Germany of Webster's availability, with Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Moenchengladbach the most likely to be interested.

Celtic and Rangers are both also believed to be considering a move for the player, however under the aforementioned regulation, they would have to pay more than a foreign club would. Apparently clubs outside Scotland can land players for a figure set by the 'Disputes Resolution Chamber' in Switzerland (in this case around £200,000), but this will not apply to any interested Scottish clubs.

I really hope he doesn't end up at one of the Old Firm clubs, but if he does he can be assured of a healthy 'welcome' back to Tynecastle on his next visit!!
