I FEAR WE'LL BUMP OFF BROOKS

ROWAN ALEXANDER reckons Gretna have given Brooks Mileson a new lease of life - now he fears a Scottish Cup Final victory might finish the club's owner off.

Millionaire Mileson has funded a dream that will become pure fantasy if his team see off Hearts at Hampden this afternoon.

The eccentric owner will watch the match among the 12,000 travelling army of Gretna fans after a pre-match fish supper at his favourite Glasgow chippie. Mileson suffers from ME and survives on a diet of cigarettes and Lucozade but Alexander insists the club have been good for his health.

However, Alexander said: "I reckon if we win the Cup it could kill Brooks. Honestly, he's just a wreck at the moment.

"Brooks won't know what to do with himself if we won but this whole experience has brought him so much joy.

"The club has prolonged his life. He has admitted to me the last three years have been the best of his life and knowing what we're building at Gretna has given him so much satisfaction.

"I'm really proud to be part of that and helping him enjoy what he has got."
