Scotland under-21 squad announced for England friendlyMonday, 05 August 2013 Kick It Out Under-21 International Match Tickets available at www.sufc.talent-sport.co.uk Scotland under-21 coach Billy Stark has announced a 21-man squad for this month’s friendly match against England at Bramall Lane. St Johnstone striker Stevie May has been rewarded for his fine start to the new season with a call up to the squad, and there are places for uncapped Heart of Midlothian pair Brad Mackay and Jack Hamilton. Stark has also included Aberdeen defender Ryan Jack, Dundee United midfielder Stuart Armstrong and Celtic striker Tony Watt, who were involved in the Scotland senior squad that defeated Croatia in June. The sides will meet the night before Gordon Strachan’s senior squad face the ‘Auld Enemy’ at Wembley Stadium, as Stark prepares his squad for their away UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifier against the Netherlands in September. It will be the first time the two nations have gone head-to-head at under-21 level since 1993. The teams have met eight times at under-21 level with Scotland seeking their first victory over their neighbours, losing six and drawing twice.
