Danny disappointed

Danny Wilson insists he was disappointed to leave McDiarmid Park with a defeat on Sunday but knows there's plenty of time to get on track.

The Jambos were sunk by a controversial first half goal but Danny knew that they were always going to be up against it, such is the quality of St Johnstone.

Speaking to the media after the match, Danny said: "We never really got to grips with the game in the first half. It showed that they've got a few competitive games under their belt.

"It was always gong to be tough coming here. They're a good team and they play well. But it's disappointing for us to come away from the game with nothing. We've got 37 more games now and we're looking forward to next week. That's all we can do."

On the subject of Stevie May's goal, Danny didn't want to get drawn into slating anyone, instead choosing to accept it and move on.

"The referee said that although the boy was offside he wasn't interfering with play," he said. "I don't really understand it, it's kind of a grey area in the rules. But we've just got to take it on the chin and move on."
