Former Hearts defender Danny Grainger joins Blackpool on trialSTV 17 July 2013 18:01 BST Former Hearts defender Danny Grainger is to go on trial with Blackpool in a bid to win a deal with the Championship side. The full-back is on the hunt for a new club after leaving Tynecastle at the end of his contract. He missed much of the 2012/13 season with a knee ligament injury. Grainger spent time training with Sheffield United, featuring in a pre-season match with Morton. Paul Ince’s assistant manager at Bloomfield Road, Alex Rae, told Press Association Sport: "We're taking a look at Danny right now and he's already featured in a couple of our pre-season games. "We want to take a look at him although a deal isn't imminent. "I know Danny well from his time at Hearts and although he's had a few injuries he's a good player. So we will take another look at him this weekend and all being well there might be a deal on the table for him."  |
