Andy Webster and Kris Boyd train with Kilmarnock on Johnston's first day

Former Hearts defender Andy Webster trained with Kilmarnock as new manager Allan Johnston held his first full session in charge.

The Scotland international is a free agent and on the search for a new club after his deal at Tynecastle expired.

Webster was one of a number of players to join up with the Rugby Park squad at Glasgow’s Garscube training centre including former Falkirk and Hibernian striker Darryl Duffy.

Kris Boyd was also present after spending the second half of last term with the Ayrshire side. Dundee United were linked with a move for the SPL's all-time leading scorer at the weekend.

Johnston and assistant manager Sandy Clark have also added Andrew Leishman to their coaching team having worked with the sports scientist at Queen of the South.

Summer signings Craig Samson and Antonio Reguero were also put through their paces.
