Just carry on being a loser, Lew

Instead he reckons it’s Pat Fenlon’s side who are feeling the heat because they keep on LOSING derby clashes to the Jambos.

And the Hearts boss claimed the desperate attempt to play mind games won’t work.

Easter Road ace Stevenson’s claims yesterday that all the pressure is on Hearts had added to the Hampden hype.

But Sergio said: “If you believe that losing puts the pressure onto the other team that wins more times, then okay, keep on losing and put the pressure onto us.

“If somebody wants to play mind games with me they should call me.

“I’ll give them my phone number because I haven’t read anything they have said.

“Gary Locke told me there are things being said every single day. But I’m too focused on the game and my job to be thinking about that.”

Sergio knows tomorrow’s match could well be his last in charge of the Tynecastle club.

His Jambos contract is up in the summer but has yet to be renewed.

And owner Vladimir Romanov is expected to fly in to watch tomorrow’s game.

Sergio revealed he and Romanov have not spoken for FOUR months.

And the Portuguese boss joked he was looking forward to seeing the Lithuanian tycoon. He said: “I miss him. What can I say? I have not spoken with Mr Romanov for three or four months.

“But he is coming to the game and we have meetings and things have been fixed up.

“There are important things we need to talk about and it is not just about money or my money. It is about what we are going to do with the project.

“Let’s sit around the table and see what we can do and I can see if it is good for me and for the club.

“If we can’t come to an agreement that it is not in the interests of everybody then I will have to find another job but that is life.”

Sergio will assess the fitness of striker Craig Beattie today before deciding if he will travel to Hampden.

The striker has been struggling with a tight hamstring but is hopeful of being fit enough to face Fenlon’s men.

He added: “Craig worked yesterday and he will work today and then we will see and we can make a decision to see if he will be fit enough to deserve to be in the squad.”
