Miko urged to return to work at Hearts after injury

BARRY ANDERSON
HEARTS manager Csaba Laszlo is keen to see Saulius Mikoliunas return from Lithuania as soon as possible after injury, but Mike Tullberg is to continue recuperating in Denmark for now.
Mikoliunas has begun light training in his homeland after recovering from complicated knee ligament damage sustained in Hearts' 1-0 victory over St Mirren at Love Street in November.

Laszlo hopes he will be back in Edinburgh by the end of the month at the latest.

He said: "I hope Miko is back very soon and that he is fit, this is the most important thing. He has begun training in Lithuania and done some running but I hope if he comes back he is 100 per cent fit. It was a very complicated injury and, for his career, it is very important he now begins to play football."

Like Mikoliunas, Tullberg preferred to return to his own country for rehabilitation following a serious thigh injury. He first sustained a torn quad muscle during Hearts' pre-season tour of Germany last summer and suffered a recurrence of the problem in October after a sprinting session at Riccarton.

"We know he has begun training in Denmark but the doctors have said he must stay there a little bit longer," said Laszlo.

Tullberg has made only two competitive appearances for Hearts, playing in defeats to Dundee United and Kilmarnock. His season-long loan from the Italian side Reggina is due to expire at the end of the season.
