Romanov prepared to be patientHearts majority shareholder Vladimir Romanov insists head coach Valdas Ivanauskas' job is safe even if the Jambos go out of the Champions League to AEK Athens. The Edinburgh side are 2-1 down from the first leg of their third-round qualifier at Murrayfield and go into the match on the back of a 2-0 defeat by Rangers in the Bank of Scotland Premier League at the weekend. Romanov told the Scottish Daily Express: "I have full confidence in him (Ivanauskas). Last season I fired people who were putting their own interests ahead of the club's. I cannot say that in any way about Valdas." He added: "I think it is now time to stop this business of raising the question after each game of whether Valdas is going to be sacked. "We're building the team and working for the future. "Our aim is to create a team to break the football duopoly in Scotland.
