HIBS FANS TRANSFER TO HEARTSClub send strips to rivals after letter shortage By Brian Lewis HIBS are sending their fans to the home of arch-rivals Hearts to have the names of their favourite players transferred on to their replica shirts. Bosses at the Hibees say they've sold so many tops that supplies of some of the letters for the transfers have run out. And if supporters want a name with an "R" or an "S" in it, they're being sent to the Jambos' shop at Tynecastle. The two clubs say it's just one example of their friendly relations off the pitch. But some Hibs fans are amazed at being told to fork out cash to their old enemies. One, a dad of three, said he was told to get his transfers done at Tynecastle after buying replica shirts for his kids. He added: "The staff said they had run out of some letters and numbers and suggested we take the strips to the Hearts shop. "I suppose I should be pleased that the demand for our shirts is so high. But I still can't believe they would actually advise fans to try Tynecastle instead." A Hibs spokesman said: "The letters and numbers are the same for every club so it makes sense for us to work together." A spokeswoman for Hearts added: "Our off-field relationship with Hibs is very good. We wouldn't have any issue with Hibs fans asking us to print names and numbers on their strips."
