Bosnians heading to Murrayfield

HEARTS will face Bosnian champions Široki Brijeg in the next week's Champions League qualifier.

Široki Brijeg made it past the first qualifying round last night with a 1-0 victory at home to Belarus champions Shakhtyor Soligorsk.

Just two minutes after the visitors had a man sent off in the 27th minute, Ronelle Gomes scored Široki Brijeg's only goal from the penalty spot to completye a 2-0 win on aggragate. They now visit Murrayfield on Wednesday in the first leg of the second qualifying round tie.

Two years ago Široki Brijeg were knocked out in the first qualifying round by PFC Neftchi of Azerbaijan, and in last season's UEFA Cup they overcame Albania's KS Teuta and Montenegrin outfit FK Zeta to reach the first round before losing Basel.

Elsewhere last night, Hibs' Intertoto Cup opponents, Odense, kicked off their Danish league campaign with a 1-1 draw at home to Midtjylland. Oliveira equalised four minutes from time for Bruce Rioch's men, who face Hibs at Easter Road on Saturday with a one-goal advantage from the first leg.
