GIVE YOUR HEART ONE MORE TIMEBy Gary Ralston JOHN McGLYNN has called for one final push from his players before they head off and forget about Hearts. The Jambos take on Dundee United on Saturday before a fortnight's break for internationals. Players not involved with their countries will be given up to four days off in a holiday deal arranged by previous boss George Burley. McGlynn said: "George decided it was a good opportunity to give those players not with their international squads three or four days off. "But we've got to respond against United first because we want to be going into the break still at least joint top." McGlynn denied the players held a talk-in at Riccarton yesterday with acting chief executive Roman Romanov amid concerns that recent events were undermining the team. It was a day off for most of the first-team squad but McGlynn is on 24-hour call as Vladimir Romanov steps up the hunt for a new boss. He added: "If we don't get anew boss in place before Saturday then I hope someone is in for the Aberdeen game in a fortnight Taken from the Daily Record |
