ROBERTSON: 'NO COMPLACENCY'

Hearts head coach John Robertson moved quickly to guard against complacency for his side's Tennent's Scottish Cup quarter-final tie against struggling Livingston.

A comprehensive 3-1 victory over lacklustre Kilmarnock in their fourth-round replay at Rugby Park set up a home game against the Bank of Scotland Premier League's bottom side, with most predicting a place in the last four for the Jambos.

However, Robertson refused to accept his side had been handed a favourable draw.

He said: "We look forward to the next game against Livingston. There's only eight teams that can win the cup now and we are one of them. We've got a chance but that's all it is.

"We'll treat Livingston with every respect. It's going to be a tough match at Tynecastle and we'll have to be ready for them.

"And I'm sure whoever goes through will really fancy their chances."

The Gorgie side's victory over Kilmarnock owed much to Lithuanian debutant Deividas Ceasnasukis, who scored Hearts' third goal, and his fellow countryman Saulius Mikoliunas who impressed in central midfield.

Robertson refused to go overboard about his two new signings, preferring to concentrate on his side's overall improvement in recent weeks.

He added: "I was delighted with the contribution of everybody. Yes, Saulius and Deividas played well but so did the rest of the team.

"We defended well as a unit when we had to and restricted Kilmarnock to a couple of efforts on goal.

"We're a team that likes to go forward, likes to score goals and play good football and we got that.

"Lee Miller has come in and done very well striking up a partnership with Dennis Wyness and they know there's others who can come in and take their places.

"Obviously Saulius and Deividas have done well and that has put other people under pressure to perform.

"Football is a team game and those two were outstanding but they were part of a very good football unit."

Disappointed Kilmarnock manager Jim Jefferies could only mourn his growing injury list which left him struggling to fill the bench.

He said: "Liam Fontaine wasn't 100% fit but he's all I had because Gary Locke, Freddie Dindeleux, Colin Nish, Gordon Greer and Gary Wales were out.

"That was the reason that Craig Dargo was substitute. He would only have been used in an emergency.

"He's only just back from injury and he only played 45 minutes in the reserves so he was just in there to make up the numbers.

"Maybe the game came at a bad time because we had so many players out that would have normally played.

"We had a young side out there against Hearts and hopefully they will learn from it."
