Gordon ruled out of Hearts' opener by thigh injuryPAUL KIDDIE IN CANADA HEARTS goalkeeper Craig Gordon is set to miss his side’s opening tour match against Canada B in Vancouver tonight after aggravating a thigh injury. The 21-year-old first felt the problem on his return to pre-season training in Edinburgh last week and it has flared up since the Jambos’ arrival on the west coast of Canada. The new Scotland cap will therefore not be risked this evening as the Gorgie outfit kicks off its International Pacific Soccer Series challenge against the host nation, Finnish star Tepi Moilanen deputising between the sticks for Craig Levein’s side. It remains to be seen whether he will recover in time to line up against the Pacific Coast All Stars in Victoria on Wednesday, or Millwall on Saturday. "We won’t be risking Craig Gordon as his thigh injury has flared-up over here after he felt it last week," said Hearts No.2 Peter Houston. Midfielder Neil Janczyk is another casualty, an arm injury picked up in training also reducing him to the role of spectator at the Swangard Stadium.
