Manager in the dock - for fun

Script writer David Allison is bringing his Fringe show to Tynecastle to raise funds for Hearts - with manager Gary Locke the star act.

The footy-daft producer's act is appearing in the Capital from August 5-9 with This IsYour Trial, where individuals are put in the dock in front of Judge Norman Lovett (Holly from Red Dwarf), prosecutor Janey Godley and defence lawyer Bob Slayer.

After hearing of the club's financial difficulties, David kindly offered to stage a show with all funds going to Hearts.

"As a huge fan of football, I'm really chuffed this can happen," he said.

"If we can entertain the players, supporters and staff at the club while raising a bit of money, everyone's a winner.

"Gary has been a real sport in volunteering to take part and fans can be assured of a fun evening.

"I'm from Bradford and I know a lot of people who know Gary from his time as a player with City and I'm sure it is going to be a fun evening."

"The Trial of Gary Locke and Heart of Midlothian FC" opens David's week-long Festival show, starting at 8.30pm on Monday, August 5 in the Gorgie Suite.

Tickets cost £10 and are now available from the Heart of Midlothian Ticket Centre. Please note that tickets can only be purchased in person at the Ticket Centre, via cash.
