1500 season tickets sold

Hearts can today reveal that fans have snapped up over 1500 season tickets since administrators BDO appealed to supporters to rally behind the club.

A target of 3000 season tickets in a fortnight had been set by Bryan Jackson and Trevor Birch and with the half-way mark now reached, the Gorgie faithful are being urged to keep up the good work.

Trevor, joint administrator and business restructuring partner at BDO LLP, said: "Selling in excess of 1,500 season tickets in just over a week is hugely encouraging - and all the more impressive when you remember that fans have only been able to buy tickets in person by cash or cheque at the ticket office.

"The response has been tremendous and we are grateful to everyone who has supported the club. We're not out of the woods yet but every ticket we sell buys us much-needed additional time to secure the club's future. We're all heading in the right direction and we need to keep the momentum going."

A further boost was received today with the news that fans can once again take advantage of the club's partnership with Zebra Finance to spread the cost of their season ticket over several months.

"The partnership with Zebra Finance now gives fans another option for buying their season tickets," added Trevor.

Robert Easton, a director at Zebra Finance, added: "Hearts has an incredibly loyal set of fans and we are pleased to be working with them to help boost the club's finances. Everyone is pulling together to keep the club alive and we are proud to do our bit as well."
