East End Park fund-raiser

Next month's pre-season friendly against Dunfermline Athletic at East End Park is to be staged as a joint fund-raiser.

Gary Locke will take his team to Fife on Saturday, July 13 (kick-off 2pm) to take on the Pars, with the gate from the clash being split between the two clubs.

Tickets for the friendly go on sale tomorrow at 9am at the Tynecastle Ticket Centre, with Hearts being given an initial allocation of 2000.

Prices are £10 adults, £5 concessions (U18s/O60s and full-time students with valid matriculation card), with purchases by cash or cheque only.

Manager Gary Locke said: "It is no secret that both clubs are struggling financially and this is a great opportunity to raise some important funds to help make sure we both survive."

Pars gaffer Jim Jefferies added: "Times are tough in Scottish football at the moment but we need the fans more than ever to come out and support us.

"It would help both clubs greatly if the Hearts and Dunfermline fans turned out in their numbers on July 13."

The Tynecastle Ticket Centre is open Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, Saturday 9am-4pm and Sunday noon-4pm.
