Duo staying on06.05.2013 Hearts can today announce that rising stars Callum Tapping and Dylan McGowan will be staying at Tynecastle for at least another season. The club had an option to terminate both players' contracts at the end of the current campaign but has decided against such a move. Former Tottenham Hotspur youth Callum made his first start for the club in the Scottish Communities League Cup semi-final triumph over Inverness Caledonian Thistle and his form in maroon has seen him earn his first cap at Scotland U21 level. Dylan has emerged this season as an important squad player and his start on Saturday against St Mirren was his 21st appearance for the Jambos this season. One player joining the list of those leaving Gorgie in the summer is Denis Prychynenko, the midfielder having failed to establish himself as a first team regular. The 21-year-old fringe player, an unused substitute in the 2012 William Hill Scottish Cup Final, made his only start for Hearts in the league defeat to St Mirren in Paisley in February. Speaking today, he said: "Thanks everyone for all the great memories. I fell in love with Scotland, Edinburgh and Hearts. I will never forget." The club recently announced that Darren Barr and Gordon Smith will not be having their contracts renewed for next season. Hearts World |
