Stevo to serve suspension

Ryan Stevenson today spoke of his "disappointment" following the SFA's decision to uphold his two-match ban.

A hearing took place at Hampden this morning following the club's decision to appeal the original suspension, which was offered after a review of a challenge made during last week's Edinburgh derby. It was at this hearing, which Ryan attended in person, that the two-match ban was upheld.

Ryan will now miss the upcoming SPL match against Celtic on 19th January and the Scottish Communities League Cup semi-final against inverness CT on 26th January.

Speaking immediately after the hearing, Ryan said: "I am disappointed with the decision. It was a whole-hearted challenge, two players going for the ball.

"However the deicsion has been made and I just need to accept it. I'm sure whoever replaces me in the team will do well".

Manager John McGlynn knows that losing Stevo for two big matches is a blow, but accepts that he'll just to have to move on and prepare without him.

John said: "We just have to accept the decision, move on and plan accordingly for our next two games without Ryan".
