John 'excited' by draw

Manager John McGlynn today spoke of his excitement at the prospect of facing Hibs in the fourth round of the William Hill Scottish Cup, revealing he hopes the forthcoming Easter Road showdown can help spark an improvement in his side's league form.

Less than seven months after thrashing the Hibees 5-1 in the final of the competition at Hampden Park, the Jambos will kick-off their defence of the trophy in Leith in early December after this afternoon's draw at the National Stadium.

After a stuttering opening to the Clydesdale Bank Premier League campaign, John hopes the cup-tie will inject his players with the motivation required to see them climb the table before the eagerly anticipated derby meeting.
