Make home advantage count19.10.2012 Manager John McGlynn today insisted that his team will rise to the challenge in Sunday's SPL clash with Motherwell. Hearts are five points behind 'Well in the league table, with Stuart McCall's men receiving plaudits for their start to the season. But the Gorgie gaffer is adamant that his side aren't trailing behind their Lanarkshire counterparts. Speaking to the media at the Academy this morning, John said: "There's five points between us and Motherwell, the team who finished third last year. That's not a lot. "There's nothing in the league table at all that cannot be turned around. "We're playing well enough and I have plenty of faith and belief in the players, they're fantastic to work with. We just need to get the ball in the back of the net. "They've got the top scorer in the league with Michael Higdon and he's been scoring for fun. They've got the same sort of squad as last year, the nucleus is certainly there. "They did very well last season and that breeds confidence, they're going to be one of the teams that's up there. "So it's up to us, we're at home on Sunday, we've got to make the most of it. Simple as that." Hearts World |
