Strikers depart Tynecastle21.05.2012 Strikers Stephen Elliott and Gary Glen have been released by the club. The duo are out of contract shortly and were informed today that they will not be offered new agreements. Stephen started Saturday's William Hill Scottish Cup Final against Hibs and admitted the 5-1 victory was a glorious way to bring the curtain down on his two years at Tynecastle. "I have had a great couple of years here and to go out in that manner was just amazing," he said. "I'm leaving with a Scottish Cup winner's medal so I would have to say my time here has been a success." Although not involved at Hampden Park, Gary was delighted to be part of the special occasion. He said: "It was great to go out on such a high and I'd like to wish the lads the best of luck for next season. "I'd like to thank the fans for their support during my time at the club and I'm now looking forward to taking the next step in my career."
