Hearts sell out derby ticketsPublished on Friday 30 December 2011 05:05 HEARTS supporters have ended suggestions of boycotting Monday's crunch derby clash at Hibs after taking up their entire ticket allocation for the televised Easter Road showdown. The remaining tickets for the second capital tussle of the season were snapped up yesterday morning. Hearts fans were left furious after being told they would have to pay an additional £6 on top of the £28 to gain entry to the game after Hibs decided to sell the briefs straight to the Gorgie faithful themselves. There was talk of away fans boycotting the match game with Hibs refusing to sell tickets over the counter to Hearts supporters and making the special delivery charge compulsory. But that has failed to materialise and Hearts will be backed a 3,500-strong travelling support. Speaking in November, secretary of the Federation of Hearts Supporters Steve Kilgour said: "Some folk have spoken about asking for a boycott, saying Hibs in particular can go and raffle for the money because we'll just watch it in the pub." |
