Hearts striker Calum Elliot has agreed a one-month loan deal with Dundee, while midfielder Denis Prychynenko has switched to Raith Rovers until January.

Elliot, 24, has been back in training after recovering from knee surgery, but last featured as a sub in a 2-0 defeat by Kilmarnock in March.

"I am feeling good at the moment," said Elliot.

"It has been a long time since I played a match but this move to Dundee will hopefully give me that opportunity."

If selected to play for Dundee against Raith Rovers on Saturday, he could face his Hearts teammate Prychynenko, who has joined the Starks Park side on loan until January.

It is for a month and if I do well then maybe I will get my chance at some point back here at Tynecastle

Elliot says he hopes the move will enable him to regain a place under Tynecastle manager Paulo Sergio, although several of the Edinburgh club's top players have been told they are free to leave if they can find a new club as part of a major cost-cutting initiative.

"It is for a month and if I do well then maybe I will get my chance at some point back here at Tynecastle," said Elliot.

"We have a new manager and I want to show him what I am capable of."
