Hearts lose three goals and four players through injury

HEARTS manager Csaba Laszlo was left bemoaning not only a 3-0 defeat by Aberdeen last night, but also injuries to four players which leave them in doubt for Saturday's game against St Johnstone and next week's Co-operative Insurance Cup semi-final against St Mirren.
Lee Wallace was forced off with a groin strain in the first half, substitute Ian Black was carried off late on and needed his breathing checked after landing awkwardly on his back, and Scott Robinson and Ruben Palazuelos had knee knocks.

"In football you have some days in which everything comes together in a negative way," Laszlo said. "I'm very disappointed for Scott. If you see his knees they pour with blood – this is no accident."

Laszlo added that Robinson had been kicked, but stressed that he was not as much concerned by the foul as by the risks of making a young player play too much football. "He has a 17-year-old body. It's too much for these guys."

In the circumstances, Laszlo was pretty upbeat about his team's unbeaten run coming to an end. "I know in the next game we can come back. I'm just disappointed to lose too many people."

Middlesbrough manager Gordon Strachan was at Tynecastle last night, watching Wallace it is believed.
