Hearts 1-1 St MirrenAndy Dorman's injury-time strike earned St Mirren an unlikely point against misfiring Hearts at Tynecastle. Hearts struggled to turn their possession into goals in a low-key opening, with midfielder David Obua trying his luck from long-range. Jim Hamilton's header was the best Saints could muster in the first-half. Eggert Jonsson looked to have won it for Hearts with his 78th-minute strike, but Dorman scrambled home an equaliser to grab a point. Hearts started the livelier of the two sides with Obua going close with a couple of long-range efforts. Despite enjoying the majority of possession, the hosts struggled to breach a resolute St Mirren defence. Hearts made a change at the interval with Laryea Kingston replacing Gary Glen, who was withdrawn with a head knock. But Kingston lasted just six minutes as he was stretchered off after appearing to pick up a knee injury, and the Ghanian international was replaced by Ruben Palazuelos. Saulius Mikoliunas came on for Hearts with just over 15 minutes remaining in his first start since being sidelined with a knee injury in November as the home fans grew increasingly restless. Jonsson sent the Hearts fans wild in the 78th minute when he kept Robbie Neilson's free-kick to the back post in play and, after Obua's shot triggered chaos in the six-yard box, he fired the ball into the net. Hearts pressed for a second goal and Mikoliunas was made to pay for his wild shot when Saints grabbed a late equaliser. Jack Ross' free-kick was headed back across goal and the unmarked Dorman slid the ball under Janos Balogh from close-range to grab an unlikely point as Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo looked on in disbelief. Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo: "We had the three points in our pocket and they equalised in the 46th minute. "I'm disappointed and that was very unlucky. We showed spirit today and Saulius Mikoliunas had a great chance to win the game. "Their goal was a mistake from us and it was really our own fault." St Mirren manager Gus MacPherson: "We were maybe just a wee bit tentative at times - but the reaction we got when we lost the goal was incredible. "We've only really lost a goal from a set-piece and there's no doubt Hearts on their home turf will create chances. "But we've defended well and we've got to be pleased to take a point."
