Former Barcelona and Hearts winger on trial

The 31 year old Spaniard previously came through the youth ranks at Barcelona before leaving Spain and making a name for himself in the SPL with Hearts.

He played 88 games for Hearts between 1998 and 2001 scoring 11 times.

He left Hearts for Bradford in October 2001, where he played 29 times for the then Championship side scoring once. It was during this spell that he met team mate Claus Jorgensen, who has recommended him to manager Eddie Howe.

Since leaving Bradford in 2003, Juanjo has had spells with Jaen (a Spanish Segunda División B side) - 2003-04, before a return to the Scotland, firstly with Inverness Caledonian Thistle - 2004-06 and a short loan spell with Hamilton Academicals.

In 2006 he returned to Spain with Granada again in the second tier of Spanish football and then he dropped down a tier in 2007 to join CE Premià before recently joining CE Mataró in 2008.

Last year he also had trials with Caledonian Thistle and Airdrie United.
