Laszlo vows not to make same mistake with Tullberg

BARRY ANDERSON
HEARTS striker Mike Tullberg is due to resume light training within the next ten days as he recovers from a second ruptured thigh muscle this season.
The Danish forward, on a season-long loan from the Italian club Reggina, first sustained the torn quad during Hearts' pre- season tour of Germany. He then suffered a recurrence of the problem last month after a sprinting session at Riccarton.

Manager Csaba Laszlo is keen to have the player available again but admitted today that he is wary of further setbacks. With Christian Nade appearing to find form at a crucial juncture of the season, Tullberg can expect to be eased gently back into first-team duties.

Laszlo said: "The most difficult thing is Mike Tullberg. I think maybe next weekend or soon after he can begin training and then we must push his physical attitude more to make him fit.

"Nade was out for a long time before, he has strong muscles and the deep pitches we have at the moment are not the best for him. He does not have the stability like Andy Driver, who is small and quick. We must be careful with him.

"We must also be careful with Bruno Aguiar and Robbie Neilson. We were not so careful before but the players push themselves. Tullberg said, 'I am fit, no problem,' and now we have the mistake.

"The problem for a lot of coaches, and one that I have, is you need to break a little bit. You have to say when to finish, sometimes less is more.

"This happened with Mike Tullberg and we must learn from this mistake and not do this with Christian Nade. Sometimes nature is against you and you cannot do anything."

Tullberg has made only two competitive appearances for Hearts, playing in defeats to Dundee United and Kilmarnock.
