Player ratings: Hearts v Kilmarnock Oct 6 2008 HEARTS Marian Kello: Clever long throws were a useful weapon. Great late save. 7 Jason Thomson: Had trouble with Hammill and Taouil running at him. 5 Christophe Berra Skipper gave all but too many balls allowed through middle. 6 Marius Zaliukas: Heavy early knock but soldiered on to have a decent match. 6 Lee Wallace: Squabbled with Miko when he came to his side. Kept Invincibile quiet. 6 Laryea Kingston: Great composure for goal but should have scored late header. 7 Christos Karipidis: Game rather fizzed around him. Needs to give team more. 5 Michael Stewart: Probably on ball more than any other in first half then faded little. 6 Saulius Mikoliunas: Actually showed a bit of commitment for once. 6 Jamie Mole:Gave away possession which led to Killie free-kick. Didn't last hour. 4 Mike Tullberg: Home debut saw him fluff early chance. Nothing else came his way. 5 Subs: KILMARNOCK Alan Combe: Best keeper in country right now. Great save late on. 7 David Lilley: Back in team and did well considering his recent lack of games. 6 Frazer Wright: Continually barracked by section of Hearts fans but had last laugh. 7 Simon Ford:Won a lot of good balls in the second-half. 6 Jamie Hamill:Fine at left-back considering he's right-footed. Good going forward. 8 Danny Invincible: Great run when he beat three players but needs more of that. 6 Craig Bryson: Superb run to score winner. He was due it after a great display. 7 Manuel Pascali: Captain for day was fairly quiet but got in Hearts players' faces. 6 Mehdi Taouil: Superb free-kick showed off his talent. 7 Conor Sammon:Big Irishman gave his team everything. 7 David Fernandez: Once again best on park. Takes so many kicks for team. 8 Subs: Taken from the Daily Record |
