Pospisil keen to get back in on the actionHEARTS striker Michal Pospisil hopes to return to training next week for the first time in more than a month. The Czech player has been sidelined after picking up a dead leg in the defeat to Rangers on August 19, and the problem has proven more complicated than first thought. The Tynecastle outfit are not short of attacking options but, with head coach Valdas Ivanauskas under pressure following recent poor results, Pospisil is desperate to make himself available. With the Edinburgh club due to travel to the Czech Republic next week for the return leg of their UEFA Cup tie against Sparta Prague, the 27-year-old wants to show he is injury-free. Pospisil said: "I am waiting for a scan, I will speak with the physio and hopefully I can get back training next week. It's a worse situation with the team when we don't play well and I can't help. I was at the game against Motherwell on Sunday. The team showed good spirit to get the win." And Pospisil believes the coaching team of Ivanauskas and John McGlynn remains a good one. He said: "Maybe Valdas needs to improve his English. He needs to explain more things but, with John there, they do well because John can explain things. We can perform well and for me it's not a problem in the coaching." Taken from the Scotsman |
