THAT STILL WON'T DEUXBoyd bags double but Le Guen tells him: By Mark Guidi KRIS BOYD fired Rangers top of the SPL with a double against Hearts yesterday - but his display still wasn't enough to satisfy gaffer Paul Le Guen. The Frenchman finally handed Boyd his first start of the season and the former Killie striker responded in style at Ibrox. He fired Gers ahead from the spot moments after the break then headed home the second against woeful Jambos three minutes later. But Le Guen remains unconvinced about the Scotland star. He said: "I'm pleased with the goals Kris scored but he could be better. "He must improve his game and be more aware - more available for his team-mates." Le Guen had few complaints about the outstanding Dado Prso. The Croatian won the penalty when he was tripped by Hearts defender Robbie Neilson who saw red in injury time for his second booking. The Rangers boss said: "Dado was perhaps man of the match. "It was also good for Lionel Letizi to keep a clean sheet and for Phil Bardsley to play well on his debut. "Jeremy Clement impressed and Lee Martin was fast and tricky. "Martin and Bardsley are good options. We have them on loan from Manchester United until January and might have them longer." The only plus point for dejected Hearts boss Valdas vanauskas was the return of Paul Hartley. He said:" The Champions League game against AEK will be hard but I'm happy Paul is back to give us a boost." Taken from the Sunday Mail |
