YOGI'S TUNNEL TIRADE WAS LOST IN TRANSLATION

By Gary Ralston

MICHAL POSPISIL is still in the dark over his bust-up with John Hughes on Saturday -because he didn't understand a word the Falkirk boss said.

Yogi refused to head down the Tynecastle tunnel at half-time and waited to confront referee John Underhill about the Hearts players he felt were too quick to complain about his decisions.

But he also turned on Hearts star Pospisil as he walked off chatting to the whistler - then gave a mouthful to Roman Bednar as he stepped in to his team-mate's rescue.

Hughes apologised to his team after the game for the incident which led to him becoming the third coach in less than a week to be sent to the stand at Tynecastle for aggressive behaviour.

Gordon Strachan and John McGlynn walked the weekend before but Czech striker Pospisil admitted he didn't know what all the fuss was about this time round.

Pospisil said: "I was talking to the ref and he was explaining about a foul in the first half when he played the advantage for our team.

"It was then the Falkirk manager appeared. He was very angry towards me but I don't know why. He speaks very fast and I couldn't understand what he was saying."

Hughes held his hands up after the game but pleaded that the incident should not be allowed to overshadow his side's display.

He s aid: "My gripe was that they were constantly in the referee's ear. The referee should referee the game and that's what I said to him.

"He felt I was aggressive so fair enough but I don't know if you'd say it was down Leith - it's normal behaviour there.

"I apologised to the players later as that's no way to conduct yourself.

"I'm disappointed with my behaviour but don't let it take the shine off my team's performance because for a long time we were every bit as good as Hearts.

"The only thing we're lacking is a little belief at times - but that will come the more games we play."
