Pressley praises fantastic result

Hearts captain Steven Pressley praised his team's patience after they claimed a 3-0 win over Siroki Brijeg in their Champions League second qualifier.

The crowd had appeared restless after a goalless first period before a lead was established for the second leg.

"We spoke beforehand about the patience we would need to show and we did that," Pressley told BBC Sport.

"In the end, the pressure paid off and we got a fantastic 3-0 win. It was an excellent performance."

But Pressley warned against any complacency for the return tie in Bosnia.

"Make no mistake, the tie is not over yet," he said.

Our target was a victory and it was a very important result

Hearts head coach Valdas Ivanauskas

"European football is very difficult and they were a very good side.

"At times, the crowd showed their frustration and European football is not easy.

"But we stuck to the task and we had spoken at half time about patience.

"It may have taken 90 minutes to get the breakthrough.

"But the important thing is we did not concede goals and we have a very good cushion for the second leg in Bosnia next week."

Head coach Valdas Ivanauskas was also delighted with the result.

"Our target was a victory and it was a very important result," he said.

"We had so many chances in the first half.

"We told them at the break it would come and the second half was okay." .
