Valdas's Field of dreams

HEARTS head coach Valdas Ivanauskas is hoping Murrayfield will prove as successful as Hampden with the club embarking on their first ever Champions League campaign.

The Tynecastle side face Spanish club Osasuna - who are also in Europe's premier competition - at the home of Scottish rugby tonight ahead of next week's second round first leg qualifying tie.

Hearts will also find out after the match with Osasuna who they will play in their opening match, with Belorussian side Shakhtyor and Siroki Brijeg, from Bosnia, vying to meet the capital club.

Hearts were unbeaten at Hampden last season as they lifted the Scottish Cup against Gretna on penalties and now Ivanauskas is hoping the club's fans turn out in large numbers to inspire them at Murrayfield.

He said: "It is a good stadium and it is very like Hampden, the changing rooms and pitch are OK and I hope our supporters are happy with Murrayfield.

"I hope it will be as successful as Hampden. A lot of the players played here last time in the Uefa Cup, but for others it is a new experience."
