JAMBOS' ICELANDER IS FROZEN OUT OF TYNECASTLETYNECASTLE BOOST... HEARTS striker Hjalmar Thorarinsson is the latest player heading out the Tynecastle exit door. The Iceland forward, who has made only five first-team appearances during his 18-month spell in Gorgie, was last night locked in talks with Swedish club AIK Stockholm. Thorarinsson, 20, failed to make the breakthrough ahead of Edgaras Jankauskas and Roman Bednar in the Jambos startingline-up. And now AIK are keen to take him to Sweden with Hearts ready to let him leave for free. The targetman initially joined in January 2005 on a short-term deal, but signed a permanent three-and-a-half year contract just weeks later after joining from Icelandic outfit Throttur Reykjavik. He netted his only top-team strike as a substitute in the 3-2 CIS-Cup semi-final defeat by Motherwell in February, 2005 at Easter Road. And now he will join fellow flops Lee Johnson and Chris Hackett out of Tynecastle as owner Vladimir Romanov prepares to bring in top-quality replacements for their shot at the Champions League.
