BARRY ANDERSON

HEARTS today announced a new membership scheme to give non season ticket-holders priority ahead of public ticket sales.

Hearts Membership will allow non-season-ticket holders the opportunity to purchase briefs for games at both Tynecastle and Murrayfield with another season of sell-out matches imminent. The club expect thousands of supporters to enrol, with costs at £30 per adult but free to under-16s.

The programme has been launched after demand for season tickets considerably outstripped supply, with 20,000 Hearts fans clamouring for the limited number of 13,500 season books for next season. Membership benefits include: Priority ticket booking for home games (subject to availability); £50 of discounts in a Hearts Membership pack; ten Hearts loyalty points; welcome letter and membership card; automatic registration for Hearts Rewards - a new initiative that will reward supporters' loyalty; and an E-newsletter to keep supporters up to date on club activity.

A Hearts spokesperson said: "The demand for tickets is now truly phenomenal.

This scheme will help supporters who were unable to obtain a season ticket."

Membership can be booked online at www.heartsfc.co.uk or in person at the Tynecastle ticket office.
