LOAN ROAD TO TOPBy Scott Mcdermott HEARTS kid Jamie McDonald has arguably the toughest job in Scottish football- trying to dislodge Craig Gordon. But the 20-year-old is praying a spell on loan next season will see him return to Tynecastle ready to challenge Scotland's Player of the Year. McDonald was called up to the Scots Under-21 squad last week without kicking a ball for the Jambos' first-team. He knows the challenge ahead is daunting and said: "It's great to work with Craig. "But it's frustrating as well because you know whatever you do it will be a struggle to shift him. "He has moved on to be a world-class keeper now. He would handle the Premiership or abroad no problem. "I'm trying to get a loan deal for next year to get the experience needed to come back to Hearts and then challenge Craig and Steve Banks."
