Romanov: Skacel’s eyeing up England MARTIN McMILLAN VLADIMIR ROMANOV, Hearts' majority shareholder, has revealed that midfielder Rudi Skacel is considering a move to England. The Edinburgh club have exercised their option to keep the Czech Republic international after agreeing an undisclosed fee with Marseille, following a year-long loan with the Jambos this season. But the Lithuanian says the 26-year-old could now be on his way out of Tynecastle. Romanov said: "His agent has asked us to terminate his contract to allow him to go to another club for £1m. "I've spoken to Rudi and asked why he wasn't playing as well as he had been and he said he was thinking about moving to England. "I told him to play well as it would be better as we would get money for him and he would get a good contract, but he said he was afraid of getting an injury. So I told him if you play and score goals, I'll let you go. If you don't, I won't because it won't be good for us." Romanov also claimed the parents of Hearts defender Andy Webster were a negative influence on the player. He said: "I like Andy, he is an excellent player, but unfortunately, in football, there are agents. However, in Andy's case his parents are the most negative influence." Romanov also criticised the medical staff at Tynecastle, saying: "They don't take their rings and watches off. I'm now looking for a head doctor, an assistant and a team of specialists."
