Tynecastle Showdown!Hearts and Aberdeen have different reasons for wanting all three points this evening! Both teams are coming off the back of great results at the weekend. The Dons beat Hearts city rivals,Hibs 4-0 at Pittodrie and Hearts beat Champions Celtic 3-0 at Tynecastle on Sunday in an impressive performance by the Jam Tarts. After everything that has happened at Tynecastle this season,it now comes down to the last two matches of the season to see if they will be playing in the Champions League next season.A win tonight and it is all over and the Hearts fans can think about a party at Ibrox on Sunday but anything else and Rangers may be sitting waiting to snatch second place and the Champions League from their grasp! The Dons too have it all to play for. They are within touching distance of Hibs and a UEFA Cup spot that they could only dream of weeks ago. This has the making's of a cracker of a match and one I am looking forward to. The Dons have won once at Tynecastle(2-1) and lost 2-0 and 3-0 (Scottish Cup)with the other match at Pittodrie ending in a 1-1 draw, the first match that former Hearts Manager,(and there have been a few)Graham Rix was in charge at. This match tonight could go any way with both club's coming into the game in such good form. On the injury front,Andy Webster has an achilles problem and Ibrahim Tall is doubtful after an injury against Celtic. For the Dons Ferne Snoyl and Jamie Smith should be fit despite knocks against Hibs but Michael Hart and Chris Clark are out. |
