IT'S A VLAD VLAD WORLD

Brellier's amazing blast at Romanov after Jambo axe
By Scott Mcdermott

HEARTS star Julien Brellier last night launched a blistering attack on owner Vladimir Romanov and claimed he could be driven out of Tynecastle this summer.

In an astonishing outburst the French midfield star (left) admitted he was "confused" and "disappointed" at having to read newspapers to find out what's going on in Gorgie.

He also revealed his disgust at being left out of Valdas Ivanauskas' team for the last two matches - including last weekend's 2-1 derby defeat by Hibs.

Julien's blast caps another embarrassing seven days for Romanov who has taken pelters since introducing Lithuanian faith healer Rima and another medical mystic known as the Pyjama Man to Tynecastle.

Brellier was an ever-present under former bosses George Burley, Graham Rix and John McGlynn but has lost his place to Portuguese new boy Bruno Aguiar. The 24-year-old can't understand his omission from the side but knows Romanov hasn't been keen on him since he arrived from Italian side Venezia last summer.

With a year left on his contract Brellier WILL look elsewhere if Romanov's treatment of his players doesn't improve.

Former gaffer Burley is keen on taking him to Southampton but other clubs in England and abroad are also interested.

Ahead of today's crucial clash with Celtic, Julien said: "Every week there seems to be controversy at Hearts.

"I'm angry I haven't played so if I start against Celtic I'll be happy again. "I don't know why I'm not playing. I spoke with the boss and he says it's his choice.

"I respect that - if he believes another man can do my job in the team.

"But we lost last Saturday and I've played the whole season at a good level.

"I asked if it was Valdas' or Vladimir's decision not to play me and Valdas said it was his. I trust him but like any player I'm disappointed.

"My mind is suddenly not clear, I'm confused.

"It's all a bit strange and I want the club to be honest with the players.

"I know Vladimir said he felt I wasn't one of the best players at Hearts.

"If he has a problem he should speak to me about it. "I don't know what I'll do next year. I have one year left and earlier in the season I thought I wanted to stay.

"But I'm not happy about the treatment of some players. I'm also angry about my treatment.

"However, it has nothing to do with me being left out of the side - it's all about the club being honest with us." Brellier can't believe he has been omitted as Hearts try to pip Rangers to a Champions League spot.

And he admits it hurt to watch their dismal display against Hibs from the bench. Brellier said: "The fans have been great when I meet them in the street.

"But they are a l s o confused about what's going on. They can't be happy about picking up the papers every day and reading about different situations.

"There seems to be a new thing every week. I have to find out myself what's going on through the papers.

"When some thing happens you seem to know first - we know nothing.

"I read the Gazzetta Dello Sport newspaper in Italy and inmy five years there Hearts were never mentioned.

"This season we've been in it four or five times.

"The team is strong enough to finish second but we still have tough games.

"My agent spoke with the chairman Roman Romanov and there didn't seem to be a problem.

"But it was disappointing when I heard Vladimir said I only deserved three out of 10 when I was named Man of the Match in a game against Rangers.

"I had the trust of every manager but I haven't had the trust or honour of the most important man here."

The former Inter Milan midfielder sympathises with team-mate Andy Webster who has also been bombed from Ivanauskas' line-up.

The Scotland defender's refusal to sign a new contract has resulted in Romanov saying he can't be trusted.

But Brellier said: "I don't know about the Webster situation but he is a good professional and a massive player for Hearts.

"He has done well this season and I don't see why he can't continue that form."
