THE Pyjama Man is the latest character to emerge from an increasingly mystical Tynecastle dressing room.

Amidst tales of Eastern European healers replacing the more conventional methods of treatment, the Hearts fans would like the whole pantomime put to bed.

Charles Earl, Edinburgh, said: "I don't understand why the media are having a go at the unorthodox methods in the Hearts dressing room.

"Whatever's going on, it appears to be working as we're in the Scottish Cup Final and favourites to clinch the second Champions League place."

David Campbell, Falkirk, said: "Vladimir Romanov is always being ridiculed but he's turned the club around.

"I couldn't care if we had witch doctors doing dances before matches just as long as we continue to win games."

Craig Weir, Edinburgh, said: "There is nothing wrong with trying alternative medicine on players as it appears to be working.

"We've looked fitter this season than any Hearts side I've seen so I'm all for the new ideas at the club."

Stewart Reid, Glasgow, said: "Romanov has been true to his word since he arrived in Edinburgh but he's still being knocked for his methods.

"I think jealousy is playing a major part in all the stories about Romanov's people."

Pat Carney, Moodiesburn, said: "It's been fascinating reading about the goings-on at Tynecastle and I wouldn't be surprised if Uri Geller and Mystic Meg were the next to be hired by the club."

David Brown, Falkirk, said: "I'm pleased Tony Higgins has come out in defence of Andy Webster. However, he failed to mention the role played by his agent Charlie Duddy.

"The man has unsettled his client and, despite being made a great offer to stay at Hearts, Webster could end up making a huge mistake."

David Walker, Perth, said: "Webster is nothing more than an average SPL player and I would be astonished if Paul Le Guen wants him for Rangers.

"He's playing a dangerous game by not agreeing a new deal at Hearts as he's kidding himself if he thinks he'll be offered more money elsewhere."

Paul Patterson, Livingston, said: "Most Hearts fans will agree that if any player doesn't want to commit to the club they should be shown the door.

"Webster was made a great offer to stay and has already decided to move elsewhere so we should try and get as much money as we can for him."

Neil Lennon just can't fail to avoid controversy.

Martin Steel, Dumbarton, said: "If Lennon thinks English football isn't up to much then why are two of their clubs in European finals?

"He was never a major player down south and should think more before opening his mouth."

Alex Campbell, Dumbarton, said: "Lennon has been left with egg on his face after his comments about the quality of the Premiership.

"Liverpool are the current Champions League holders and Arsenal are in the final while Middlesbrough are through to the UEFA Cup Final.

"I wonder if Neil would like to retract his statement."

Paul Walsh, Bishopton, said: "Why was Martin O'Neill in the frame for the England job?

"He's over-rated in my view. I didn't think he was that great at Celtic but the media seem to want him at Newcastle or Manchester United or anywhere else there might be an opening."

David McDonald, Cumbria, said: "I would like to thank Jim Leishman for keeping Dunfermline in the SPL.

"Being relegated doesn't bear thinking about, so he deserves credit for working without any money."

Paul McIntyre, Kirkaldy, said: "I'll be watching my team Cowdenbeath's bid to lift the Third Division title at Central Park on Saturday.

"Hopefully we can beat Elgin and have a party."

'The events at Hearts have been fascinating and I wouldn't be surprised if Uri Geller and Mystic Meg were next to be hired by the club'
