SKACEL: WEE TEAMS SHOULD SHUT UP AND NOT BRAND ME A DIVER
SCOTTISH CUP SPECIAL...
By Gary Ralston

RUDI SKACEL last night took a furious potshot at Hibs and Falkirk for labelling him a diving cheat.

The Hearts wide man took a barbed dig at his arch-rivals for trying to crank up a war of words ahead of Hampden. He also hit out at the Bairns and defender Jack Ross, who accused him of soccer simulation after the Jambos' 2-1 win last week.

Skacel released a week of pent-up emotion after his side booked their place in the Scottish Cup Final.

But he insists the critics will play no part in his decision whether to stay at Tynecastle or go when his loan spell from Marseille ends in two months.

The Czech said: "I've been very upset and sad because I've read a lot of bulls**t about Hearts and me.

"There has been some big bulls**t from small teams and players who must concentrate on their own game, rather than me and Hearts.

"It's small teams such as Falkirk but I know it's difficult for them when they play against teams such as Rangers, Celtic and Hearts.

"I was angry because what was said isn't true. I've been in Scotland for eight months and no one has spoken about me diving before.

"Hibs also wanted to make a problem for me before this big game but this is normal and we answered this with our 4-0 win. Football in Britain is different to France, the Czech Republic or Greece but if I want to play here I must accept these things and I like the game here.

"I've played football before but sometimes it's too much because my family and friends have been calling me to ask what is happening.

"We deserved our win against Hibs and now there is only one team that exists in Edinburgh - the Jambos.

"However, it will not affect how I judge my future. We have a fantastic dressing room and fans and my manager and I will speak with Mr Romanov at the end of the season."

Skacel admits the victory over Hibs was much easier than he dared imagine and he's dreaming of another day in the sun in the Final against Gretna on May 13.

He added: "In the end it was very easy, 4-0. Now we are just 90 minutes from the Cup but we have important games in the league, starting at Celtic."

Countryman Michal Pospisil, who won the penalty that allowed Paul Hartley to complete his hat-trick, was stunned by the four-goal margin.

Pospisil said: "It was surprising we won 4-0 and I thought, in a semi-final, the winning margin would be two or three goals maximum."
