Headless Hearts leave Falkirk reelingScottish round up Toby Moses Searching for their fourth head coach in 10 months, Hearts were out to prove that the latest managerial departure would not affect their form against Falkirk. The visitors started well, and Rudi Skacel set up the opening goal, bursting past Jack Ross in the 22nd minute before crossing for Paul Hartley to finish from seven yards. The game was level at half time, largely due to referee Alan Freeland. He adjudged Roman Bednar to have handled Alan Gow's free-kick and pointed to the spot in the 45th minute. Gow stepped up, and despite a fine save from Craig Gordon, fired the rebound into the roof of the net. However, Hearts were not to be denied, and grabbed a deserved winner through Edgaras Jankauskas' 81st minute strike, to make it 2-1. Taken from the Guardian/Observer |
