TELLY ADDICTVlad pays £3000 to watch Hearts Cup tie on box By Colin Duncan HEARTS owner Vladimir Romanov has shelled out a fortune for television rights so he can watch this afternoon's clash with Partick Thistle in the comfort of his own home. Multi-millionaire Romanov is unable to attend today's Scottish Cup quarter-final because of business commitments back in Lithuania. But rather than miss the action, the Tynecastle supremo struck a deal with Trans World International, who own the television rights for Scottish football, to screen the match in his home country. Romanov has already paid TWI £11,500 to show up to 15 live Hearts SPL clashes in Lithuania this season but that deal did not cover Scottish Cup matches. Now Romanov has remedied the situation by coughing up another £3000 to broadcast the game against Thistle on Lithuanian sports channel Tango TV. Taken from the Daily Record |
