FOOTBALLER Paul Hartley is set to be bombarded with briefs tomorrow - after revealing he wears a pink thong when he plays for Hearts.

The Scotland midfielder told a radio phone-in how he slips into the sexy little number before each match.

Now Hearts and Falkirk fans are planning to throw thongs at him during the SPL clash, which is live on Setanta.

Even Falkirk boss John Hughes has called on supporters from both sides to join in.

Married Hartley, 29, let his secret slip as he chatted to host Ewen Cameron on Real Radio yesterday.

He said: "I prefer to wear a thong under my shorts for comfort and pink is the in colour at the moment.

"No doubt I'll get pelters for this but I'm an honest player and I'm an honest man.

"Now that this is out I fully expect to get bombarded with stick when we play Falkirk."

Hartley - a stand-out for the table-topping side- also revealed his favourite clothes were "anything in leather".

Team-mates have already been giving Hartley a ribbing Real Radio host Cameron said: "If you reveal on air that you prefer leather to lace and G-strings to pants, and pink ones at that, you have got to take what's coming to you.

"G-strings are welcome at Falkirk this Sunday.

"If he takes a corner, or scores a goal and goes to celebrate, we want fans to chuck their thongs at him."

Falkirk boss Hughes added: "I used to get changed next to Paul at Hibs. I'm sure he stole my pink leather G-string.

"But I'm still a jockstrap guy, that's what I prefer.

"It would be very funny if he went to take a corner on Sunday and there was a G-string on the corner flag."
