Euro race is still on - LeveinPAUL KIDDIE HEARTS boss Craig Levein today insisted he is taking nothing for granted in the race for Europe after Saturday’s draw with nearest rivals Dunfermline maintained a nine-point advantage over the Fifers. The Gorgie outfit earned a share of the spoils at East End Park, the 0-0 stalemate suiting Hearts who are now firm favourites to finish third with 12 games remaining. But Levein refused to get carried away, acknowledging the situation could quickly change. "We are taking nothing for granted as there is still a long way to go," he said. "Things are far from finished and I don’t expect us to get an easy ride from here on in. "It is important we maintain the advantage we have or even extend it if possible. It won’t be easy, but it’s vital we keep pushing on." Hearts, meanwhile, are trying to rearrange tonight’s under-21 game against Dunfermline for Tynecastle (a lunchtime pitch inspection was planned) after Forthbank was deemed unplayable. |
