Hearts still have high hopes that they will land Hamilton

HEARTS are expected to sign Dundee striker Jim Hamilton today in a deal thought to be worth around £200,000.
The player spent yesterday at Tynecastle locked in negotiations with the Edinburgh club.
The stumbling block appears to be that Dundee want £200,000 in cash, while Hearts are offering less than that figure plus John Colquhoun.
The Hearts winger asked for a transfer after having been named as a substitute for the Coca-Cola Cup final, but the former Celtic and Sunderland player appears to be unwilling to go to Dens Park.
Veteran Colquhoun's refusal to move to Dundee is unlikely to hold up the deal for more than a day, though, with Hearts coming up with the figure the Dens Park club want.
Hamilton could make his debut for the Tynecastle side in tomorrow's premier division match against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.
The 20-year-old is rated as one of Scottish football's brightest young prospects and is a regular for the Under-21 team.
Meanwhile, striker Kevin Thomas, another young prospect of whom much had been expected, is on his way out of Tynecastle and will sign for St Johnstone this morning for a fee of around £50,000.
